Job Summary
Contract Specialist to manage the federal procurement lifecycle in a DoD/Federal environment. Responsibilities include acquisition planning, solicitation development, evaluation, contract award and administration, modifications, and closeout; develop SOWs, J&As, and evaluation documentation; apply FAR, DFARS, and DoD policies to ensure compliance; conduct cost/price analysis, support source selection, and provide negotiation guidance; collaborate with program managers, contracting officers, finance, legal, and technical teams; use PD2 or equivalent systems for procurement management; require a bachelor’s or master’s degree with 5+ years of federal procurement/GS-1102 experience; preferred FAC-C/DAWIA certification and DoD procurement exposure.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree
- Minimum 5 years of federal procurement or contracting experience supporting GS-1102 functions or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and DoD acquisition directives
- Experience managing the complete procurement lifecycle
- Experience conducting price analysis and cost analysis for federal procurements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with PD2 (Procurement Desktop-Defense) or equivalent
- FAC-C or DAWIA contracting certification (preferred)
- Experience with source selection and negotiation support
- Knowledge of contract closeout and contract administration processes
- Experience supporting simplified acquisitions, competitive procurements, and task order management
