Job Summary
Draft, review, and revise engineering, consulting, and construction contracts, including non-disclosure agreements and joint venture documents. Negotiate contract terms and conditions while identifying and mitigating contractual risks to align with company policies and business objectives. Work closely with executive leadership to support organizational priorities and communicate professionally with clients and internal stakeholders. Assist with special projects as needed. This hybrid role requires three days in the downtown Chicago, IL office and two days remote.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, insurance, engineering, law, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience drafting, negotiating, analyzing, and interpreting contract documents
- Strong ability to assess and manage contractual risk
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Sound judgment and the ability to make administrative and procedural decisions
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and professionally
- Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad range of contractual matters
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Willingness to travel occasionally, as needed
- 3 days in our downtown Chicago, IL office
- 2 days working remotely from home
