Job Summary
Contract Specialist based in Dubai reporting to the Legal Director for MEA. Lead end-to-end contract lifecycle from sales to execution, develop and implement contract-management procedures, draft standard contracts, and guide risk assessment with cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Legal, Finance). Manage a contracts team, provide pre-sales direction, draft redlined recommendations, and handle post-sales contract claims, variations, and compliance. Engage in negotiations for outcome-based contracting models, prepare bid-related documents, ensure insurance coverage documentation, act as primary liaison among internal stakeholders, and support litigation and dispute resolution processes. Also participate in backlog reviews and guide the Quantity Surveying team on accounts receivable and unbilled charges. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred), 5-7 years of relevant experience, familiarity with FIDIC/NEC contracts, and strong proficiency in CLM tools and Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, law, or relevant field
- Masters Degree would be Preferred
- Minimum 5-7 years industry experience (ideally with significant experience in building systems, manufacturing and/or services)
- Experience with standard contracting forms (e.g., FIDIC, NEC) and bespoke contracts with such industry standards
- Proven track record with contracting forms and negotiation
- Excellent knowledge of warranties, bank guarantees, insurance and letters of credit
- Exposure to dispute resolution processes (litigation, arbitration, mediation)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience using CLM / Opportunity management software and tools (e.g., Salesforce)
