Job Summary
Contract Specialist role in Munich (hybrid) focusing on end-to-end contract management for clinical trials. Responsibilities include administering contract management processes across protocol, informed consent, institution, investigator, vendor, consultant, and customer agreements at project level; leading multi-country project contracts and budgets negotiations; producing site-specific contracts from country templates; supporting site contract submissions and SSUL coordination; ensuring quality control, archival of CTAs, and metadata; collaborating with legal, finance, and clinical operations; mentoring staff on SOPs/WIs; maintaining templates and training materials; and facilitating contract execution by company signatories. Requires BA/BS in a related field (advanced degree preferred), extensive contracts management experience in CRO/pharma, strong knowledge of clinical development and ICH GCP, German and English language proficiency, and the ability to work onsite in Munich two days/week.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Public Health, related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Advanced degree preferred
- High level of contracts management experience
- Experience in a contract research organization or pharmaceutical industry essential
- Strong knowledge of the clinical development process and legal and contracting parameters
- Experience with contracts and budgets
- Experience in contract writing and reviewing
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Customer focused and ability to manage challenging priorities and to remain flexible and adaptable in stressful situations
- Excellent understanding of clinical trial process across Phases II-IV and ICH GCP
- Fluency in German and proficient in English
- Ability to work from the clients office in Munich two days per week
