Job Summary
Contract Specialist – Entry Level role at Tessera is responsible for assisting with processing procurement packages below SAT, drafting solicitations and synopses for commercial and non-commercial acquisitions, managing post-award duties (performance, invoicing, closeout), and communicating with USCG personnel on technical requirements, while ensuring compliance with FAR and agency directives. The role requires at least one year of related acquisition experience (government or commercial) or an equivalent combination of experience and education, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to obtain security clearances and real-ID compliant credentials. The position emphasizes customer service, professional conduct, and adherence to procurement regulations in a federal contracting environment. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year experience working with Federal, other Government (State or Local), or Commercial Acquisition preferred
- Equivalent combination of experience and education allowed
- Working knowledge and understanding of the FAR preferred or ability to be trained
- Experience working with Federal Government Acquisition systems as well as the FPDS-NG preferred or ability to be trained
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid state driver’s license with ability to obtain/maintain installation access
- Ability to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access
- Background check and E-Verify will be conducted
