Job Summary
The Contract Specialist performs acquisition and contract administration support across the federal lifecycle (pre-award, proposal development, subcontract coordination, and post-award management) to enable business development, ensure compliance with regulations and customer requirements, and support proposal efforts. Responsibilities include coordinating with internal departments and external customers, leading subcontractor communications and documentation (NDAs, teaming agreements, pricing submissions, representations and certifications), reviewing solicitations (RFPs, RFQs), drafting and maintaining contractual documents, maintaining contract databases and trackers, monitoring actions for timely completion, supporting compliance reviews, and applying FAR/DFARS knowledge to procurement actions. The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, independent work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced government contracting environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contracts Management, Acquisition, Legal Studies, or related field preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience supporting government contracts, acquisition, subcontract administration, proposal development, or related contract management activities
- Experience supporting federal government contracting environments preferred
- Familiarity with FAR, DFARS, and government procurement processes preferred
- Experience supporting proposal development and subcontractor coordination is highly desirable
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance
