Job Summary
Contract Senior Manager, Group Business Applications leads the Global Business Systems team, supporting a portfolio of applications including MS Dynamics 365 F&O and Workday (phased implementation from early 2026), with Run and Maintain support over the next 12+ months. Partners with external support, explores AI opportunities to streamline recurring tasks, drives expansion of MSD across new regions, and oversees user support, training, troubleshooting, and problem-solving. Responsible for uptime, upgrades/enhancements, process improvements across Finance processes (e.g., Purchase to Pay, Order to Cash), and management of the IT/finance application portfolio, including compliance with permissions and control environments. Provides a professional liaison for stakeholders, supports audits, ensures SLAs are met, and collaborates with Group Finance as the finance partner for system support. Oversees development of new applications and delivers BAU enhancements in a global context, with a focus on leadership, team development, and cross-functional collaboration. The role is within a 6 Month Day Rate Contract and involves working with a diverse, global team and key clients in the travel and payments ecosystem.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant (or equivalent) and experience of Finance and HR applications
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and in a team
- Experience in deadline-driven environments
- Experience in high-volume businesses
- Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel
- Effective communication at all levels within an organization
- High accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in IT systems and software
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Strong written and verbal communication for collaboration with stakeholders
- Previous experience in IT or application management roles (often preferred)
- Experience managing a team of 4-5 individuals across global locations
- Ability to contribute to GBA RoadMap and understand how operations feed into it
- Organizational and leadership skills
- Commercial awareness with focus on cost saving and efficiencies
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
