Job Summary
Contract Sales Representative for Everon responsible for growing the business through outside and phone sales, field prospecting, building surveys to develop proposals for service agreements (test and inspections, preventative maintenance, central station monitoring), and delivering compelling presentations to customers. Responsibilities include acquiring and maintaining knowledge of product lines and services, reviewing testing and inspection reports to quantify repair proposals, collaborating with internal teams, attracting new customers, up-selling existing clients through a mix of outdoor field sales, phone sales, and direct marketing, assisting with marketing initiatives and sales planning, and ensuring timely completion of productivity and documentation. Requires ability to read blueprints, interpret diagrams and instructions in English, strong communication with internal and external teams, and a proven track record in high-volume sales of services or intangible offerings; proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with fire alarm life safety systems, CCTV, security and card access systems; and possessing a valid driver’s license and ability to pass a drug screen.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 3-5 years professional experience in high-volume sales in a fast-paced environment
- Must present proof of ability to legally work in the United States
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to clear a drug screening in accordance with company policy and applicable law
- Outside sales and cold calling experience
- A successful, proven track record of performance either selling intangibles or selling a service that required excellent prospecting ability
- Exceptional customer service, thoroughness and self-motivation
- Must possess good decision making skills, be very organized and detail oriented
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Experience and strong understanding of fire alarm life safety systems, CCTV, security and card access systems, low voltage systems, installation and testing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
