Contract Sales Representative

Job Summary
Represent fire sprinkler offerings to General Contractor customers and end users within an assigned territory by identifying, selecting, and developing new and existing accounts. Establish contact with prospects, qualify potential buyers, and schedule sales calls to build new business associations. Provide estimates and quotes for commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities while determining customer needs and developing sales strategies to exceed objectives. Maintain effective communication with customers to ensure satisfaction, resolve problems, and complete required paperwork accurately. Travel to potential and existing customer sites as required to read blueprints and determine proper sprinkler locations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience selling service contracts in the Fire Protection industry
- Working knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, and 20
- Knowledge of industry standard practices for service and inspection
- Ability to multi-task to the extreme
- Valid driver's license and excellent driving record
- Ability to achieve sales quota as well as implement sales strategy to exceed goals
- Ability to work accurately with numbers
- Significant experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) applications
- Excellent customer service skills
- Demonstration of a positive attitude
- Ability to think strategically, make sound decisions, and produce accurate and timely results

- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree in a technical or business discipline or related in the sprinkler fire suppression business
- Previous sprinkler design experience including estimating and performing hydraulic calculations
