Job Summary
Contract SAFE Home Study Evaluator role conducting SAFE home studies for foster, foster-to-adopt, kinship, and ICPC families across Colorado. Responsibilities include meeting families in their homes, assessing safety and stability, gathering and analyzing information, preparing detailed written reports with court-focused recommendations, ensuring compliance with Volume 7 regulations, maintaining documentation, and professional communication with families, courts, and internal teams. Requires Bachelor’s degree, bilingual English/Spanish, SAFE training, and ability to manage multiple projects in a flexible, project-based position. Compensation is $30/hr with additional pay for updates or expedited/bilingual services; remote work not indicated, role emphasizes in-home/home visits in Colorado.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology preferred)
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Completion of 2-day SAFE Home Study Training with active SAFE certificate
- Knowledge of Volume 7 regulations related to foster, adoptive, kinship, and ICPC home studies (training provided if needed)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
