Job Summary
Contract / Project-Based Home Study Evaluator to conduct SAFE home studies for foster, foster-to-adopt, kinship, and ICPC families across Southern Colorado. Responsibilities include meeting families in their homes, assessing safety and readiness, gathering and analyzing information, and preparing detailed written reports with court recommendations. Ensure compliance with Volume 7 regulations and state requirements; maintain accurate documentation; communicate with families, courts, and internal teams. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology preferred), bilingual English/Spanish, and a SAFE certificate. This flexible role offers part-time supplemental income with $30/hr compensation plus additional pay for updates or bilingual services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology preferred)
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Completion of 2-day SAFE Home Study Training with active SAFE certificate
- Knowledge of Volume 7 regulations related to foster, adoptive, kinship, and ICPC home studies (training provided if needed)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
