Job Summary

Conduct electrical and low-voltage installation activities supporting telecommunications infrastructure, network systems, and facility upgrades. Perform Inside Plant (ISP) and Outside Plant (OSP) tasks including cable routing, rack installation, pathway installation, and EMT conduit bending. Install and work with circuits, panels, grounding systems, UPS, and PDUs while reading drawings and performing cable terminations, testing, and documentation. Ensure all work complies with electrical codes and industry standards in construction, telecommunications, and outdoor environments. This 6-8 month contract role in Miramar, CA requires up to 50% travel and a valid driver's license.

Required Qualifications

  • Journeyman Electrician / Low Voltage Installation Technician
  • Contractor (6-8 months)
  • 2+ years of commercial EMT installation and low-voltage/electrical installation experience
  • Experience working with 1" and 2" EMT conduit, including bends, offsets, saddles, and back-to-back bends
  • Experience installing structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber optic cabling
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Ability to safely perform physical field work, including lifting, climbing, bending, kneeling, crawling, and working in various environments
  • Clean record

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working under a C-7 or similar low-voltage contractor
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • Experience supporting telecommunications, data center, government, or DoD infrastructure projects
  • Experience with BICSI installation standards
  • Knowledge of grounding/bonding requirements and telecommunications infrastructure
