Job Summary
Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, including respect for privacy and clear communication of procedures. Effectively use the Nursing Process to deliver care, assess learning needs, and implement teaching strategies for patients, families, and disciplines. Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources properly while serving as a leader on the Interdisciplinary Team. Utilize data to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes, embracing behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale. Perform other related duties as assigned, including exposure to blood, body fluids, and hazardous medications. Work three 12-hour shifts in an ICU setting. Must live more than 65 miles from the job site.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse with ICU Experience
- Current RN License in the state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification - 12 month blue card from Crisis Prevention Institute
- Valid RN license in the state of work
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential
- Required minimum 2 year in ICU or CCU experience (intensive care or critical care)
- Must live >65 miles from job site
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- EPIC experience
- Certification in clinical specialty area
