Job Summary
Deliver intensive care patient care across three 12-hour shifts while assessing learning needs and implementing teaching strategies for patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Manage nursing resources effectively, adapt communication styles to diverse populations, and utilize data to evaluate outcomes and promote change. Perform duties requiring lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally and manage occupational risks for exposure to blood, body fluids, and hazardous medications. Maintain a valid RN license, BLS, ACLS, and CPI certifications, with a minimum of two years in ICU or CCU experience. Must reside more than 65 miles from the job site and demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse with ICU Experience
- Current RN License in the state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification - 12 month blue card from Crisis Prevention Institute
- Valid RN license in the state of work
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential
- Required minimum 2 year in ICU or CCU experience (intensive care or critical care)
- Must live >65 miles from job site
Desired Qualifications
