Job Summary
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide medication management for individuals enrolled in PHP programs, while overseeing clinical supervision of psychiatric nurse practitioners. Review and co-sign documentation as required by law, directing staff on clinical activities and collaborating with community prescribers to ensure successful patient disposition. Maintain medical records accurately and participate in marketing outreach events as needed. This role requires board certification in adult psychiatry, minimum two years of management experience in behavioral health, and a valid driver's license. Compensation is $250.00/hr depending on level and location.
Required Qualifications
- Board Eligible or Board-Certified Psychiatrist
- All necessary requirements must be met to practice adult psychiatry in California
- Minimum of two (2) years of management experience in a behavioral health setting such as a hospital, outpatient clinic, or related service provider
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience treating the adult emotionally disturbed population
- A valid Driver's license
- A generally clean driving record
- State licensing DHS and DSS prohibit individuals with specific criminal charges, conducted by Livescan fingerprint checks
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with mental health PHP/IOP and/or psychiatric hospital experience
- Superior communication skills working with patients, family members, community stakeholders and staff
- Experience with co-occurring disorders and/or substance use disorders
- Eating Disorder treatment experience
