Job Summary
The Contract Process Officer is responsible for providing services to support effective custody processing, detention stay, and safe release as directed by ICE officials. Key duties include assisting with removal planning, coordinating with EOIR personnel on ATD programs, and helping with travel document collection and repatriation planning. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and at least two years of experience working with vulnerable populations or in a related field, along with the ability to work in a multicultural environment and proficiency in English. Preferred qualifications include fluency in Spanish and experience in confinement settings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in social work, social services, criminal justice, or equivalent
- At least two years of related experience
- Experience working in or with individuals in a confinement setting
- Ability to communicate proficiently in English (verbal and written)
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships in a multidisciplinary environment
- Ability to navigate in an electronic work environment
- Knowledge of common Microsoft Office programs
- Experience with managing data and data quality assurance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with immigrants or foreign-born individuals
- Experience providing services to vulnerable populations
- Fluency in Spanish
