Contract Outpatient Therapist

Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive diagnostic and clinical assessments to determine client needs and medical necessity. Evaluate client urgency, complexity, strengths, risks, and available support systems to inform treatment planning. Provide outpatient therapy services through telehealth and in-person sessions while managing an assigned caseload. Review referrals for eligibility and make admission recommendations in accordance with company policies. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Collaborate with the Clinical Director to support care coordination, resource allocation, and treatment planning. Maintain compliance with company policies, ethical standards, licensing requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution
- Active North Carolina licensure as one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW or LCSWA), Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC or LCMHC-A), or Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS or LCAS-A)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must maintain active North Carolina professional licensure throughout employment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced behavioral health environment while managing multiple client needs effectively
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred minimum of two (2) years of post-licensure clinical experience in mental health or substance use treatment
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills
- Experience utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) for documentation and compliance
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities and manage an independent caseload
- Experience providing telehealth behavioral health services
- Experience working with diverse populations across outpatient settings
- Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities and interdisciplinary care coordination
