Job Summary
Join our PT and Sports Medicine Team as a contracted massage therapist responsible for providing safe and effective massage services, performing health histories, and documenting sessions according to guidelines. Engage with the community to increase awareness of services and foster relationships for revenue generation. The role requires knowledge of massage therapy advances and participation in mandatory training to maintain compliance and professional competency.
Required Qualifications
- Provides safe, appropriate and effective massage techniques
- Performs health history on clients and updates prior to each session
- Explains procedures and applies techniques appropriate to client needs and preferences
- Observes client reaction to massage and modifies as necessary
- Documents all sessions performed according to established guidelines
- Maintains client confidentiality
- Responsible for scheduling and maintenance of appointments
- Increases awareness of massage services and benefits within the community
- Develops and demonstrates knowledge of current advances in massage therapy
- Attends all mandatory education and in-services
Desired Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited massage therapy school
- Minimum of one year experience providing massage services
- Licensed by the State Medical Board to practice Massage Therapy in the state of Ohio
