Contract Manufacturing Strategic Sourcing Associate Director

Job Summary

Lead Global Procurement's Contract Manufacturing Strategic Sourcing team, providing direction, mentorship, and execution leadership to achieve business goals through supplier sourcing and partnering. Drive continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies, recommending solutions for YoY value capture, and implementing strategic outcomes across the category management team. Champion ownership of annual savings and value plans aligned with Finance's budget, while acting as a trusted advisor to External Supply to maintain influence with business executives. Develop team capabilities, prioritize work among multiple initiatives, and support Sourcing Managers in translating strategic programs into measurable deliverables. Curate supplier partnerships, mitigate supply risk, and ensure sourcing deliverables adhere to regulatory requirements such as GLP, GMP, and ISO. Monitor performance metrics to identify cost savings opportunities and evaluate process improvements, including sustainability and automation initiatives, to enhance operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree and 3 years of Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Operations (preferably in a regulated industry) experience
  • Master's degree and 7 years of Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Operations (preferably in a regulated industry) experience
  • Bachelor's degree and 9 years of Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Operations (preferably in a regulated industry) experience
  • Associate's degree and 12 years of Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Operations (preferably in a regulated industry) experience
  • High school diploma / GED and 14 years of Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Operations (preferably in a regulated industry) experience
  • minimum of 3 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources

Desired Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of Strategic Sourcing best practices across Contract Manufacturing category
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GLP, GMP, ISO, OSHA)
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams in a procurement environment supporting various expenditures (e.g., capital, COGM, COS)
  • Strong analytical skills to monitor performance metrics, optimize sourcing deliverables, and ensure compliance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with Executives
  • Ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity
  • High degree of initiative and self-motivation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully
  • Team-oriented, with a focus on achieving team goals
