Job Summary

Contract Manager responsible for all aspects of the execution, tracking and reporting of the contract and accounting process for ORR-funded programs. Works as a member of the Finance Department team; primarily responsible for producing, overseeing and analyzing financial information coordinating other contractual reporting related to ORR funded programs. Maintains thorough and accurate contract and accounting records and provides technical assistance to Operations and Administrative Services staff related to contract requirements. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, monitoring budgets, reviewing staffing and expenditures for ORR compliance, coordinating grant fund expenditures, computing and submitting indirect cost rates, staying current with OMB circulars and grants-related regulations, supporting annual budget analysis, conducting monthly financial review meetings, ensuring GAAP compliance, assisting with audits, tracking proposals and contracts, and maintaining relationships with ORR personnel. This role reports to the CFO/Director of Business Operations and Initiatives and may involve collaboration with the Corporate Business Manager in the Southwest Region.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related area is required
  • Advanced Excel experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience in grants/contracts financial management; including knowledge of budgeting and accounting procedures for grants/contracts. Direct experience with Office of Refugee & Resettlement (ORR) grants/contracts preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Knowledge of Great Plains preferred
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Must be flexible and able to handle multiple priorities, with the ability to adjust to high pressure and rapidly changing business conditions
  • Good interpersonal skills including the ability to interview potential employees if required
  • Strong attention to detail and quality assurance
  • Excellent writing skills and demonstrated knowledge of grammar and styles
  • Strong time-management skill
  • Diligence and self-motivation to complete assignments on-time with high quality standards
