Job Summary
Contract Manager responsible for procurement of services, materials and equipment; collaborate with Procurement and Construction teams; identify project needs and develop specifications for new contracts; conduct market research, vendor selection, and tender interviews; manage contract negotiation, drafting, reviewing, and approval; monitor vendor performance against contract terms and KPIs; lead monthly performance reviews with vendors; drive continuous improvement in procurement and vendor management; stay informed about industry trends in Southeast Asia to maintain competitiveness and innovation. Location-based duties include managing relationships with vendors across Asia-Pacific markets and ensuring compliance with data center project requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 – 8 years of experience in vendor management and contract negotiation within the data centre or construction industry
- Solid experience in construction contract management/contract administration
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and contract law with exposure to standard forms
- Understanding of construction methods, project lifecycle, and interfaces between CSA, MEP, commissioning, and operations for data center or similar complex facilities
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing favourable contract terms
- Ability to analyse performance data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Relevant certifications in procurement, supply chain management, or contract management (e.g., CPM, CSCP, or similar)
