Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day onsite facilities management for a medical treatment facility, directing a diverse team of managers, foremen, technicians, and administrative staff. Ensure staff and subcontractors adhere to management plans, safety, and quality requirements while resolving conflicts and deficiencies. Direct scheduling and completion of preventive maintenance, repairs, and project work in compliance with contract requirements, healthcare codes, and performance standards. Coordinate with customer Facility Management points of contact for reporting, scheduling, and program status updates. Maintain program documentation for The Joint Commission requirements and conduct staff training, safety briefings, and quality inspections. Provide vendor management including performance reviews and follow-up actions. Ability to be on call 24/7/365 for facility emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- technically qualified in the field of Healthcare Facilities Maintenance Management
- three (3) years' experience in Ambulatory Care and medical/healthcare bedded-inpatient facility operations and maintenance
- minimum of five (5) years of experience servicing and/or renovating commercial buildings
- supervision of diversified work work force responsible for operations, maintenance and repair of commercial building infrastructure systems
- familiar with the various codes and standards applicable to the O&M tasks covered by the PWS, JC, NFPA, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and OSHA codes and standards
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to be on call 24/7/365 in response to facility emergencies
Desired Qualifications
- An American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) certification
- Completion of OSHA 30
