Job Summary
Contract Junior Attorney GDPR EU role focused on privacy governance and compliance for GDPR and UK DPA, supporting EMEA operations. Responsibilities include drafting and refreshing privacy notices (e.g., CCTV, biometrics), preparing training materials and internal guidance, updating cross-border transfer documentation (adequacy assessments and TIAs), drafting DPIAs with IT/HR/Operations/Commercial teams, reviewing technology agreements for privacy gaps, supporting vendor privacy assessments (DPAs, subprocessors, controller-processor alignment), assisting with regulatory filings and supporting documentation, and escalating legal or risk questions to internal Legal leadership. Preferred: CIPP/E; practical knowledge of GDPR, UK DPA, and cross-border transfer mechanisms; experience in privacy clause drafting; exposure to AI governance, biometrics, surveillance, or workplace monitoring programs. The role does not serve as DPO or final decision-maker.
Required Qualifications
- JD, LLB, or equivalent legal qualification OR CIPP/E with 3+ years of hands-on privacy or data protection experience
