Job Summary
Contract Improvement Specialist for the Symbio project within Service New Brunswick (NB, Canada). Responsible for creating and maintaining a centralized inventory of contracts across four organizations, tracking key terms (renewals, expiries, termination windows, exclusivity clauses), assessing impact on application consolidation, CIS implementation, and third-party dependencies, and supporting negotiations with vendors. Role requires governance of contract data, version control, financial stewardship, confidentiality protections, and escalation to legal/procurement as needed. Collaborates with program, procurement, finance, legal, and operations; drafts tenders/ RFPs, proposes improvements in procurement and contract management processes, and produces leadership decision-support material. Requires aBachelor’s degree and 6+ years IT experience with 2+ years in software asset management/licensing; experience in public sector and NB procurement context is preferred. Some weekday evenings/weekends may be required; criminal history clearance may be required. Salary between $78,546 and $104,494 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related discipline
- Minimum of 6 years of progressively increasing experience in Information Technology
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Software Asset Management and Licensing
- Written and spoken competence in English is required.
