Job Summary
Contract Execution Manager for Steam Turbine/Steam Turbine Generator supplier contracts. Responsible for managing the execution of supplier contractual purchase orders, negotiating terms to maximize Mitsubishi Power’s rights, and coordinating with Supply Chain Management, Program Management, legal, engineering, and projects teams to ensure back-to-back contracts with prime guarantees and requirements. Performs solicitation development, change-order management, and milestone tracking (engineering specs, procurement, manufacturing, delivery, and invoicing). Applies expertise in ST/STG contracts, flow-down terms, and risk reduction; develops statements of work, evaluation criteria, pricing schedules, and contract requirements; reviews and negotiates terms, drafts contracts, and oversees contract close-out. Supports senior management on commercial issues, informs procurement policy adjustments, and ensures compliance with procurement procedures. Travel up to 30%. Educational requirements include a bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering with a Masters preferred; 5-10 years of supplier contracts experience in power generation is highly preferred. Strong ability to analyze, interpret drawings and technical documents; proficient in preparing solicitation documents and cost analyses; SAP experience a plus. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, risk management, and delivering legally sound and commercially favorable supplier contracts for ST/STG projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering (Masters preferred)
- 5-10 years of supplier contracts experience in the power generation industry (Steam turbine, steam turbine generator experience highly preferred)
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, engineering drawings, engineering specifications, and other technical documents
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Strong negotiation and contract-management skills
- Experience with procurement processes, contract administration, and change management
- SAP experience a plus
- Understanding of terms, flow-downs, and warranties in contracts
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams (supply chain, legal, engineering, project management)
- Travel up to 30%
- Bachelor’s Degree (Masters preferred) in related field
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
