Job Summary
Contract Design Engineer role focused on designing and developing point of sale displays for retail experiences. You will collaborate with product and manufacturing teams to ensure structure specs meet customer requirements and deliver production-ready technical specifications from concept renderings. Requires strong mechanical design skills and proficiency with 3D CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and 2D/3D rendering tools (KeyShot, Rhino, Photoshop). Responsibilities include prototyping, building models, creating production-ready specifications, and delivering designs for Fortune 500 clients within potentially changing project scopes while meeting deadlines. Candidate should have a robust portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product development from concept to production and be adept at communicating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in product development and/or engineering-related field; specific work in point of sale/display/retail environments a plus
- Exceptional portfolio that demonstrates examples of products created from concept to production with a successful introduction to market
