Contract Civil Litigation Attorney

Job Summary
Manage a caseload of civil litigation matters from inception through resolution by drafting pleadings, conducting legal research, and representing clients in state and federal court hearings, mediations, and trials. Handle all phases of discovery including depositions and document production while ensuring compliance with procedural rules and deadlines. Collaborate with internal team members and maintain accurate billing records to meet a minimum of 60 billable hours bi-weekly. This contract position requires active federal licensure in the Southern District and at least five years of civil litigation experience. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of legal practice
- Active federal licensure (Southern District required)
- Demonstrated experience in civil litigation (required)
- Experience in business law and real estate litigation (required)
- Trial experience (required)
- Ability to meet a minimum of 60 billable hours bi-weekly (120+ hours per month)
- Strong ability to independently manage cases and deadlines
- Contract position

- Must be available for court appearances as needed
