Job Summary
Provide individual and group counseling services to children and adolescents affected by domestic violence or sexual assault, conducting a minimum of 8-10 sessions weekly via telehealth or face-to-face. Meet with parents or guardians for consultations, prepare client service plans, and maintain confidential records while ensuring all required forms and assessments are completed. Clean and organize the play therapy room between clients and collect statistical data on services provided. Comply with organizational policies and participate in training as requested. This role requires a master's degree, current or provisional licensure, and formal play therapy experience, with availability for weekday evenings or Saturday daytime. Compensation includes session rates and administrative hourly pay.
Required Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Counseling, Psychology or related field
- Licensed (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LP) or Provisionally Licensed (LMSW, LPC- Associate, LMFT-Associate, Post-Doc) with established outside supervisor
- Formal Play Therapy coursework and experience
- Group counseling experience
- Demonstrated understanding of the dynamics of relationship violence and sexual assault
- Demonstrated understanding of the impact of trauma in childhood
- Saturday and evening availability
- Ability to lift 25 lbs
- Ability to easily climb stairs
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred
