Contract Background Investigator - Puerto Rico

The 1099-Contract Investigator conducts federal background investigations on a contract basis in support of national security and suitability investigations. Responsibilities include fieldwork, interviews, and retrieval of records to produce ROIs in compliance with laws, federal standards, and agency regulations. Willingness to accept field assignments and TDY travel within the geographic area of responsibility. Requires strong verbal and written communications, professional demeanor in time-sensitive environments, data handling and destruction in compliance with mandatory training and credential requirements. Maintains relationships with ADC employees and contractors, reports trends observed in the field, and performs other duties as required. Compensation is hourly and tied to completed cases rather than a fixed annual salary; eligible for base rate and Premier Contract Investigator rate depending on cases.
