Contract Background Investigator - Natchez, MS

Contract Background Investigator responsible for conducting federal background investigations on a contractual basis in support of national security and suitability investigations. Perform fieldwork including interviews and retrieval of records to produce reports of investigations (ROIs) in compliance with applicable laws, federal standards, and agency regulations. Accept fieldwork assignments for travel within the geographic area of responsibility; TDY opportunities outside the area. Maintain and meet deadlines, demonstrate strong verbal and written communications, manage data securely, and ensure compliance with mandatory training and credential requirements. Develop professional working relationships with ADC personnel and contractors, report trends observed in the field, and perform related duties as required. Compensation is hourly and based on cases completed rather than annual salary; compensation details reflect 40-hour workweeks starting at base rate up to higher tier rates.
