Contract Background Investigator - Iowa (Cedar Rapids)

The 1099-Contract Investigator conducts federal background investigations on a contract basis in support of national security and suitability investigations. Responsibilities include fieldwork with interviews and retrieval of records to produce ROIs in compliance with laws, federal standards, and agency regulations; accept TDY assignments; meet deadlines; demonstrate strong verbal and written communications; manage data securely; maintain mandatory training and credentials; build professional relationships with ADC staff and contractors; report field trends; and perform other duties as required. Compensation is based on cases completed, not a fixed annual salary, with pay reflecting the number of assignments and the Premier Contract Investigator rate.
