Job Summary
Review RFx, contracts, and security questionnaires while conducting legal and regulatory research to prepare concise summaries on evolving SaaS, cloud, AI, data privacy, and public procurement requirements. Support contract and RFx review by identifying compliance obligations such as data privacy, audit, liability, and flow-down terms, then draft, organize, and maintain Legal-approved standard clauses, templates, and issue trackers. Partner with cross-functional teams to translate approved guidance into operationally usable language that supports deal execution and audit readiness. Monitor marketplace requirements to support continuous improvement of contract frameworks and documentation for traceability and defensibility.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor Degree from an ABA accredited law school
- Member of at least one state bar association
- California bar membership preferred
- Ability to apply legal training to research, issue spotting and legal-approved contract support in a business setting
- Legal and regulatory research skills
- Ability to analyze and summarize statutes, regulations, frameworks and customer requirements for business audiences
- Contract review support for SaaS, cloud and third-party technology requirements
- Analysis of AI, data privacy, data residency, auditability, and liability allocation
- Supporting legal, bid/RFP and contract/compliance actions for commercial and public sector procurement
- Ability to identify mandatory terms, flow-downs, and compliance obligations
- Drafting and maintaining Legal-approved clauses, playbooks, fallback positions, templates, risk notes and contract negotiation aids
