Job Summary
Contract Analyst in San Diego, CA provides critical support by independently reviewing, drafting, and revising contracting and acquisition documentation and offering analytical support for Federal, DoW, and Navy pre–award and post–award contracting. Supports the full Federal contracting lifecycle including pre–award planning, source selection support, and post–award administration for DoD/Navy software and hardware–intensive systems. Develops and reviews procurement packages (APs, SOWs, PWSs, SSPs, J&As, D&Fs, CDRLs) ensuring compliance with administrative, regulatory, and procedural requirements. Requires 2+ years of procurement experience, ability to navigate complex acquisition rules, MS Office proficiency, up to 15% travel, and a Secret clearance; Bachelor’s degree preferred. The role may involve liaison with Government clients, advisory on contracting procedures, and ensuring documentation adequacy and consistency across the lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience with procurement planning, pre–award documentation, or post–award contract management
- Experience providing contractual advice and actionable recommendations, including researching, analyzing, and interpreting complex acquisition rules, policy, and regulations
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with DoW and Navy contracting procedures and regulations (Nice If You Have)
- Experience with preparing briefings and reports for Government clients
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
