Job Summary
Contract Administrator/Project Manager role at an architecture, design, and planning firm in Edmonton. Responsible for site representation, collaborating with construction managers and sub-trades, administering change control procedures and contract administration methodologies, ensuring adherence to contract documents and building/safety codes, preparing project manuals and tender documents, and working with shop drawings, RFIs, and technical specifications for large architectural projects. Manages projects from start to finish including cost control, delivery schedules, and quality control, with a focus on coordinating between owners representatives, general contractors, and sub-trades to keep projects on schedule. Requires a minimum of 5 years in contract document administration within construction, proficiency with Revit/AutoCAD, and strong knowledge of architectural specifications, CCDC forms, and the National Building Code; PMP designation is an asset.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in the preparation and administration of contract documents in a construction-related capacity
- PMP designation is an asset
- Proficient with the Canadian Construction Documents Committee (CCDC) forms
- Thorough understanding of architectural specifications as an instrument of contract administration
- Proficient in applying the National Building Code, with knowledge of large/complex buildings
- Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD
- Experience managing projects from start to finish including cost control, schedules, and quality control
- Ability to prepare project manuals, tender documents, and work with technical specifications for large architectural projects
- Experience reviewing and amending shop drawings, working with site instructions and RFIs
- Collaborative experience with construction managers, owners representatives, general contractors and sub-trades
- Knowledge of health & safety codes and building codes
