Contract Administrator, Mining Projects

Job Summary
Oversee the full lifecycle of contract management for mining projects, analyzing contracting strategies and preparing bidding documents to identify risks. Conduct market research, lead bidding processes, and perform rigorous technical and commercial evaluations of bids. Monitor contractor compliance with engineering, construction, and QA/QC teams, while analyzing schedule deviations and supporting recovery planning. Process change requests, review payment certificates, and manage technical and financial close-out processes. Maintain updated risk registers, escalate internal alerts regarding claims, and document lessons learned. Maintain continuous communication with contractor counterparts and ensure open actions are assigned and closed.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in mining projects
- Strong understanding of contract administration in fabrication and goods procurement
- Native Spanish speaker
Desired Qualifications
- Fluent English
- Familiarity with PMI and AACE methodologies
