Job Summary
Build and run competitive bid and selection processes for construction and professional services, preparing procurement packages, addenda, evaluation materials, and contract documents from planning through award. Manage multiple concurrent procurements for District, PMO, and college stakeholders while maintaining strict adherence to District policies, procedures, templates, and applicable law under regular internal and external audit. Ensure all tracking, reporting, and quality control remain audit-ready with minimal administrative support. This fully on-site role within the PMO Contracts Team supports LACCD's largest community college building program in the state.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience relevant to this work
- A bachelor's degree, relevant field preferred (or 4 additional years of qualifying experience beyond the 5 in place of the degree)
- Working knowledge of standard contract terms and conditions for design, construction, and related services
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Word, and Adobe Acrobat
- A reliable, responsive work ethic with the highest integrity, and the accuracy to hold up under audit
- The ability to track and report status accurately across several projects running at once
Desired Qualifications
- Higher education capital improvement projects
- Knowledge of the California Public Contract Code and the California Community College Code
- Electronic bidding software such as PlanetBids
- Alternate project delivery methods such as Design-Build
- Project management software such as Proliance or Trimble
