Job Summary
Support assigned grants and contracts throughout their full lifecycle, including budget preparation, compliance tracking, and financial reporting. Analyze financial results by comparing actuals to budget, monitoring variances, and recommending appropriate actions. Prepare annual budgets, funder reports, spend-down calculations, accruals, journal entries, and month-end reporting tasks. Lead or support monthly financial statement review meetings and provide financial guidance to operational teams. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and financial files while preserving confidentiality. Support billing, revenue recognition, deposits, supplier invoice review, and other finance-related processes. Collaborate with internal departments on financial processes, reporting needs, compliance requirements, and special projects. Full-time, exempt hybrid schedule with a minimum of two days per week out of a regional office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field
- Two years of related work experience
- Equivalent education and a minimum of eight years of related work experience
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply written information
- Intermediate computer skills, including experience with software and web-based systems
- Proficiency with advanced financial spreadsheet functions
- Valid driver's license with daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle
- Successful completion of the pre-employment process, including clearances and verifications
