Contract Account Manager

Job Summary

Lead contract discussions with third-party payers, negotiating rate and language terms in accordance with established guidelines. Prepare, analyze, and review complex financial models to evaluate cost impacts of proposed contract terms, reimbursement methodologies, and rate structures. Draft and execute contracts ensuring agreements are financially sound, compliant, and operationally feasible. Serve as the expert on payer contract terms for reporting to internal and external parties, implementing executed contracts, and monitoring performance. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with the third-party payer network while collaborating with upper management to solve escalated reimbursement issues. Assist in researching state Medicaid policies and creating new workflow tools to ensure efficiency. Update in-house contract database systems and track information as necessary.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree
  • 5+ years of contract related experience
  • Basic to working knowledge of health care delivery systems
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results and take initiative
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment and effectively manage priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Individual Contributor classification
