Job Summary
Continuous Instructor for the Crane & Hoist Equipment Operator program at NAIT (Spruce Grove Campus). Prepare and present learning outcomes and activities in classroom, laboratory, and industry settings; participate in curriculum and course reviews; facilitate learning with effective instructional strategies; manage delivery and maintain a safe, productive learning climate; create assessment tools and maintain progress records; provide early and ongoing coaching and tutoring to maximize student success and retention; respond to student issues; use educational technology for presentations, communications, and program promotions; maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and industry partners; actively participate in NAIT’s strategic and academic planning; incorporate student feedback to improve instructional quality; contribute to professional development and instructional improvement; and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications include a High School Diploma and Alberta Journeyperson certificate or provincial equivalent, with Inter-Provincial Red Seal considered an asset; minimum 5 years post-journeyperson industry experience preferred; teaching experience is an asset; candidates educated outside Canada should have credentials evaluated (WES/IQAS/CES). Remuneration is noted in the posting and commensurate with education and experience. NAIT supports a flexible work environment with on-campus, off-site, or hybrid arrangements depending on the role, and remote positions require residence within Canada.
