Continuous Improvement Specialist

Job Summary
Evaluate current manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improving safety, efficiency, quality, and productivity. Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste, optimize production flow, and eliminate inefficiencies. Design process improvements that increase output while minimizing defects, and conduct root cause analysis to develop corrective actions for assembly challenges. Partner with cross-functional teams to align workflows with business objectives, lead quality improvement projects, and create cost-saving initiatives through practices like 5S and Value Stream Mapping. Develop process layouts and equipment workflows, support plant modifications, and deliver training on Lean methodologies including Kaizen. Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering required with 3+ years of hands-on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles
- Experience with process improvement, project management, data analysis, and problem-solving methodologies
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments
- Ability to work independently while also leading cross-functional initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lead, influence, and motivate teams
- Experience using statistical analysis and performance metrics to drive improvements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, data sorting, filtering, and analysis
Desired Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma certification
