Job Summary
Review operations performance data to identify improvement areas, then analyze solutions and supervise project implementation to reduce costs. Champion the Production System by optimizing material flow, conducting time studies, and maintaining standardized work. Develop Lean Six Sigma solutions using tools like 5S, Kanban, and VSM while collaborating with supervisors on health, safety, and quality issues. Train staff on continuous improvement methodologies and support new product launches. Communicate complex information to end users through presentations and ensure organizational alignment with operation requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Operations or Business, or a suitable combination of experience and education
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in lean
- Experience in continuous improvement
- Experience in efficiency improvement
- Experience in manufacturing cost reduction
- Experience in process flow
- Experience in plant layout
- Experience in new product launches
- Experience with Lean/Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence
- Strong proficiency with MS Office programs including: Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Ability to learn other applications quickly
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Able to drive change while maintaining good working relationships
- Leading and managing change
- Inspire, engage and promoter of innovation and continuous improvement
- Able to teach, guide, coach and mentor
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma philosophy, system and tools, and implementation
