Job Summary
The Continuous Improvement Specialist Co-Op role focuses on analyzing business and manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and implementing changes for improved productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This will involve data analysis to interpret workflow trends, performing process mapping, conducting root cause analysis, and supporting projects applying Lean principles. Collaboration with teams across operations and quality is essential, alongside documenting processes and presenting findings. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication and collaboration abilities, are vital for success in this role.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled student
- Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in mid-June through September
- Familiarity with university requirements for co-op participation
Desired Qualifications
- Experience or training in process improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) for data analysis and project management tools
- Yellow or Green Belt Six Sigma Certification
