Job Summary

Lead and participate in design, fabrication, modification, and installation of mechanical and electromechanical solutions (fixtures, tools, ergonomic assists, poke-yoke devices, workstations, carts, safety mechanisms, prototype equipment); collaborate with operators to translate improvement ideas into safe, durable solutions; lead or support Kaizen focusing on layout optimization, workflow, and tooling; hands-on setup and commissioning of equipment; develop technical documentation (CAD models, drawings, work instructions, training materials); train operators and maintenance staff; ensure OSHA safety and ergonomic standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Technology (or related field)
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in fabrication, electromechanical design, maintenance, machining, welding, integration, or related technical fields
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and experience with 3D printing for prototyping
  • Strong hands-on capability to design, build, wire, assemble, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems
  • Understanding of production processes, quality requirements, material flow, and lean manufacturing concepts
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
