Job Summary
Hands-on Continuous Improvement Manager to help machine shop run faster, smoother, and more efficiently. Focus on reducing machine downtime, improving efficiency across all shifts, planning/executing machine moves and shop layout improvements, and ensuring machines, people, and processes work as efficiently as possible. Collaborate with production, maintenance, and leadership to identify problems, fix bottlenecks, and keep operations running at a high level. Key responsibilities include identifying root causes of downtime, improving uptime and cycle times, leading machine relocations and workflow changes, ensuring cross-shift process consistency, tracking performance, implementing Lean/Six Sigma methods in practical ways, and training supervisors and operators. Requirements include 5+ years in manufacturing/production environments, experience improving machine efficiency and reducing downtime, familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and hands-on shop-floor presence. On-the-floor work environment with exposure to noise, dust, and heavy equipment; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
