Job Summary
Champion Lean tools and methodologies including value stream mapping, standardized work, visual management, takt time, pull systems, SMED, 5S, and problem-solving (A3/PDCA). Collaborate with stakeholders to gather input for improvement initiatives, drive kaizen charter creation, and lead events focused on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale. Plan and execute rapid cycle experimentation, use data and go-to-gemba for KPI tracking, and hold teams accountable for closing action items. Train and mentor all organizational levels on lean thinking while facilitating daily management systems to ensure transparency. Support new product introductions, layout redesigns, and process improvements by eliminating bottlenecks with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain. Track Kaizen cost savings and measurement rates to drive sustainable operational performance aligned with site goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Industrial Engineering or similar
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- minimum of 3 years directly involved in lean/CI leadership
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and change management skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SmartSheet
- Working knowledge of ISO and FDA regulations
- Some lifting, 50lbs or less, may be needed less than 25% of the time
Desired Qualifications
- Lean, SixSigma, and/or Project Management certification
- Experience working in a metal fabrication or contract manufacturing environment
