Continuous Improvement Kaizen Specialist

Job Summary
Gathers data and manages preparatory work to execute Kaizen activities, facilitating rapid experiments with site leadership and CI Technicians to construct machines and tools that support competitive advantage. Apply the 3P "try storming" simulation process to prove concepts before assembling solutions, while training campus employees on continuous improvement tasks and processes. Maintain primary work areas under 5S standards and improve, implement, and sustain Lean processes including Standard Work, Flow, Visual Management, TPM, and Error Proofing. Prioritize projects using the Kaizen Road map and productivity funnel, prepare report-outs for senior leadership, and perform key roles in the New Product Development Process.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ plus years of experience in manufacturing
- Must currently have yellow belt or earn yellow belt within 3 months of accepting the role
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with minimal supervision
- Willing to attend training as needed
- Ability to work in team-oriented environment
- Self-management skills when working on smaller tasks
- Ability to execute a daily and weekly action plan
- Ability to work with cross function teams
- Ability to communicate both professionally and collaboratively with internal customers regarding status of requests

Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree or certification in engineering technology, operations, or related field
- Prior experience supporting Kaizen events or Lean improvement projects
- Exposure to KPI reporting or visual management systems
