Job Summary
Support continuous improvement efforts by learning and documenting manufacturing processes through process mapping, attending Managing for Daily Improvement meetings, and updating Standard Work procedures. Lead a unique cross-functional project to gather data, analyze findings, and implement solutions for operational excellence. Collaborate with Associates and leaders to identify improvement opportunities, prepare reports and presentations, and conduct research as needed. Serve as a visible resource on the manufacturing floor, potentially traveling to additional plants to support production.
Required Qualifications
- Student in Junior or Senior status
- Working towards a bachelor's degree
- Preference in Process Engineering
- Preference in Industrial Engineering
- Preference in another related field
Desired Qualifications
- Experience leading teams focused on scrap reduction in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with mass balance work focused on milk solids and water studies
- Experience with Lean trainings including 5S
- Experience with value stream mappings
- The ability to define and solve problems
- The ability to collect data

- The ability to use sound judgement
- The ability to draw valid conclusions
- The ability to make effective decisions
