Job Summary
Design, create, print, and test 3D fixtures for production needs while modeling castings and gating systems in CAD software. Collaborate with shop personnel to understand internal processes, interpret customer blueprints, and analyze workflows to identify root causes of defects. Participate in the Material Review Board to address scrap challenges and work with engineers to fix design issues. Develop an understanding of lean manufacturing principles to implement continuous improvement projects that enhance productivity and quality. Report discrepancies to management and update work instructions with technical writers as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Attending a four-year college for Engineering
- CAD experience
- Microsoft Office
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Accuracy, thoroughness and timeliness
