Job Summary
Hands-on Continuous Improvement Coordinator responsible for end-to-end CI project delivery on the production floor and in planning, including time studies, workflow analysis, and identifying labor/process inefficiencies. Drives financial validation of savings with Finance, secures plant buy-in, implements line balancing, standard work, and visual controls, and conducts 60–90 day sustainment audits to ensure verified, lasting results. Collaborates with floor associates and leadership to embed PDCA-based problem solving, Kaizen events, and Lean/CI tools to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost, while maintaining strong frontline coaching and cross-site replication of improvements.
Required Qualifications
- 3–7 years manufacturing operations or CI experience
- Led at least 2 measurable improvement projects
- Proven ability to lead improvement events and implement changes on the production floor
- Savings validated by Finance
- Influence frontline and supervisory teams without direct authority
- Excel proficiency
- Lead and facilitate CI initiatives with focus on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement
- Identify, analyze, and resolve operational issues using structured problem-solving methodologies
- Plan, lead, and execute Kaizen events and rapid improvement workshops
- Partner with site leadership to develop and execute improvement roadmaps at the site execution level
- Apply and coach teams on Lean/CI tools (Fishbone, 5-Why, Line Balancing, Takt Time, Standard Work, Root Cause Analysis)
- Strong communication across operators, supervisors, and plant leadership
- Frequent production-floor presence and data-driven decision making
Desired Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent practical Lean training
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Operations, or related field (or equivalent high-impact manufacturing leadership experience)
- Food manufacturing / cold environment experience
- Bilingual (English / Spanish)
- Familiarity with CI project tracking tools (e.g., Monday.com or similar)
- Strong analytical skills — Excel proficiency
- Lead and facilitate CI initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement
