Job Summary
Instruct students in Continuing Education Phlebotomy courses, developing and delivering the curriculum to build skills in blood collection using proper techniques and universal precautions. Responsible for evaluating and optimizing the educational curriculum, maintaining class records, tracking attendance, and assessing student performance. Communicates with coordinators and supports student services, while maintaining a positive classroom environment. The role requires travel throughout the college district and may include evenings and weekends; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Must have HS diploma/GED and phlebotomy certification, with ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures and to present information effectively to groups. Two-way communication with students, staff, and peers is essential, as is professionalism and reliability in instructional delivery.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma/GED required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting required
- Current certification in phlebotomy required
